The fennel has its original home in the Mediterranean countries. Today fennel is grown all over southern Europe, and for some years now also in climatically suitable areas of Central Europe.

Characteristics and subtances:
The spicy, sweet oil with a typical fennel note is green to dark green in colour and has a high share of petroselinic acid.
